DLT Compliance Policy

Last Updated: 11-Apr-2026
At NexMsg (www.nexmsg.in), we strictly follow the regulations set by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) regarding Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) for bulk messaging services.

1. What is DLT Compliance?
DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) is a regulatory framework introduced by TRAI to prevent spam and ensure transparency in commercial SMS communication.
All businesses sending SMS in India must comply with DLT regulations.

2. Mandatory Requirements for Users
To use DLT-based SMS services, users must:
• Register their business on an approved DLT platform
• Obtain a DLT Entity ID
• Register Sender IDs (Headers)
• Submit and approve message templates
• Ensure all communications follow approved templates
Failure to comply may result in message rejection or penalties.

3. User Responsibility
Users are fully responsible for:
• Completing DLT registration and approvals
• Ensuring message content matches approved templates
• Sending messages only to users with proper consent
• Following TRAI guidelines and anti-spam regulations
NexMsg is not responsible for message failures due to non-compliance.

4. Content Restrictions
Users must not send messages related to:
• Fraudulent or misleading offers
• Gambling, betting, or illegal services
• Adult or prohibited content
• Unauthorized promotional or spam content
Violations may lead to account suspension.

5. Non-DLT Messaging Disclaimer
• Some services (such as virtual number messaging) may operate outside DLT frameworks
• Users must still ensure compliance with applicable laws and avoid misuse
• NexMsg reserves the right to restrict services if misuse is detected

6. Delivery & Filtering
• Message delivery depends on telecom operator filtering and DLT approvals
• Messages not matching approved templates may be blocked

7. Compliance Enforcement
NexMsg reserves the right to:
• Suspend or terminate accounts for non-compliance
• Reject campaigns that violate DLT or TRAI rules
• Report violations to regulatory authorities if required

8. Limitation of Liability
NexMsg is not liable for:
• Message rejections due to DLT issues
• Delays or failures caused by telecom operators
• Losses due to regulatory restrictions

9. Updates to Policy
This policy may be updated as per TRAI regulations. Continued use of services implies acceptance of the latest version.
